Privacy Policy
Our privacy approach
Vendor Board intentionally collects a small amount of information needed to create accounts, operate listings, match service areas, facilitate contact, secure the site, and administer the community. We do not sell personal information.
Information we collect
Account information can include login email, business or professional name, role, a securely hashed password, account timestamps, and basic session/security records. Listing information can include business contact details you choose to provide, service category, service ZIP, service range, website, profile photo, Smart Flyer/Card settings, custom artwork, and community content. Contact forms can include a sender name, email, message, intended recipient or support context, and delivery/handling status.
Information we do not normally ask for
A normal Vendor Board account does not require a home street address, Social Security number, government ID, date of birth, bank information, or payment-card information. Please do not send sensitive personal information that is not needed for the directory.
Public and private information
Public listing fields and approved artwork can be seen, copied, saved, photographed, or printed by other people. A member login email and private service ZIP are not included as public account fields or in unauthenticated public directory API responses. The service ZIP is retained privately and used internally for location matching. A member can separately choose to publish a business phone number, website, or other information. Anything a member intentionally places directly on uploaded artwork or in public listing text is public once that material is displayed.
How information is used
Information is used to authenticate accounts, generate and display listings, calculate location matches, process custom-artwork review, facilitate member contact, administer Community Board features, respond to support requests, handle deletion and moderation requests, maintain consent records, prevent abuse, and operate or troubleshoot the site.
Contact messages
When a visitor uses a member contact form, Vendor Board receives the submitted name, email address, message, and intended listing so the message can be stored for Admin support/audit purposes and automatically emailed to the member’s saved account email. The member’s email address is not displayed to the visitor by Vendor Board. The visitor’s email is used as the Reply-To address; if the member chooses to reply, the member’s own email address may then become visible to that visitor. Admin support forms may also include a subject or support context. Please do not submit sensitive personal, financial, account-password, government-ID, or payment-card information through contact forms.
Cookies, local storage, and outside services
Vendor Board uses necessary cookies or similar browser storage for sign-in, session state, preferences, and normal site operation. As of this policy version, Vendor Board does not intentionally install behavioral-advertising or analytics trackers. The site can load resources from infrastructure or service providers such as Cloudflare and Google Fonts, and links can take you to outside websites with their own privacy practices.
Sharing
Vendor Board shares information only as reasonably needed to provide a requested feature, deliver a message, host or secure the site, comply with law, investigate abuse, or protect users and the service. Public listing information is intentionally shared with directory visitors. We do not sell member or visitor personal information to advertisers. Private service ZIPs and login emails are not intentionally included in unauthenticated public directory responses.
Retention
We aim to keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, site security, moderation, dispute handling, or legal obligations. Public listing/account data is removed or de-identified through the deletion process where practical. Consent records, policy-version records, and limited administrative or security history may be kept longer when reasonably necessary to document permissions or protect the service. Technical backups may not disappear instantly.
Consent records
When a member accepts the Terms, Posting Rules, and Privacy Policy, Vendor Board stores the member account ID, email, displayed name, role, acceptance time, policy version, and source of acceptance. Custom-upload certifications store similar account information, upload type/file name, acceptance time, and certification version. These records are kept in the site database and are available to authorized Admin users.
Security
Vendor Board uses access controls, password hashing, protected Admin tools, and other reasonable safeguards for the information it maintains. No website or storage system can promise perfect security. If you believe an account or message has been compromised, contact Vendor Board promptly.
Your choices
You can edit public listing information from your dashboard, pause a listing, request permanent account deletion, or contact Admin about privacy or correction questions. If you do not want information displayed publicly, do not place it on uploaded artwork or in fields described as public.
Children
Vendor Board is a directory for businesses and real estate professionals and is not directed to children under 13. Do not create a business-directory account for a child or submit a child's personal information unless there is a legitimate, lawful reason and appropriate authority.
Changes and contact
The effective date and version appear on this page. Material changes may require members to acknowledge a new policy version. Privacy questions and requests can be sent through Contact Vendor Board.
